James P. Baker's recent move over to Winston & Strawn's labor and employment practice from Jones Day was featured prominently in numerous publications, including Law360, The National Law Journal, The Recorder, MSNBC, CNBC, and Yahoo Finance.
Baker began working as a partner out of Winston's San Francisco office in early January. His practice focuses on ERISA litigation and the counseling of employers on the entire spectrum of employee benefit and executive compensation matters.
"I was attracted to Winston & Strawn because it was a way to reconnect with lawyers who I greatly admire and who are fun to work with," Baker told Law360. "It was a new year and time for a change."
Winston's cutting-edge use of technology was also a major draw, he said.
"There is a huge commitment to technology and innovation at Winston & Strawn that's very attractive to me, and it's important to the clients to keep them abreast of what's going on and to get better results," Baker told The National Law Journal.
Charles Birenbaum, managing partner of Winston's San Francisco office, said Baker's practice will be a tremendous asset for the firm's clients. "Jim is an accomplished ERISA lawyer with a truly national profile and reputation." |
