Peter Kocoras is a partner in Winston & Strawn’s litigation department who concentrates his practice in commercial and securities litigation, corporate internal investigations, and white-collar criminal defense.
Prior to joining Winston & Strawn, Mr. Kocoras worked for two years at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, first as a staff attorney and then as a law clerk to the Hon. William J. Bauer. He is a member of the bars of Illinois, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Eastern District of Wisconsin. While attending law school, Mr. Kocoras served for one year as an extern to the Hon. Wayne R. Andersen of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Mr. Kocoras was listed in the "Rising Stars" list published by Illinois Super Lawyers in 2008.
Activities
Mr. Kocoras has served as a barrister in The Chicago Inn of Court.
Education
He received a B.S. in Business/Finance, with highest distinction, from Indiana University in 1990 and a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 1993, where he was a member of the DePaul Law Review.
